Michael C. Seeley is a graduate of Colgate University, where he majored in Economics, with a minor in Philosophy and Religion. After attending Emory Law School in Atlanta for one year, Michael left to apply his analytical skills to asset management. He is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society (BSAS) and the CFA Institute, as well as an affiliate member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and a member of the Society for Financial Services Professionals (SFSP). Michael is currently enrolled with the American College, where he is furthering his financial education.
Michael has helped many seniors to meet the financial challenges of transitioning to and enjoying retirement. He enjoys working with seniors and focuses his study and work in that area because he has seen firsthand the costs that come with living a long, fruitful life! Michael's concern is that those he works with make sure that they have considered the possibility of living a long, fruitful life, and that they have chosen a plan of action to deal with this financial reality that so many face today.
Before moving back to Clifton Park, NY, Michael worked as a Sales and Marketing Analyst at Neuberger Berman in downtown Boston and as an Investment Banking Analyst with Boston First Capital in Boston's Back Bay. Michael lives in Glens Falls, NY with his lovely wife, Cynthia, and their dog Cole. Cynthia will be the President of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY) this coming year. Michael enjoys skiing, golfing, cycling and most anything outdoors.
Michael is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative of Equity Services, Inc. and offers securities in NY, FL, MA, SC, NV and CT. Michael is insurance-licensed in NY, MA, NV, FL, VT and CT and he has met the education requirement of the State of NY to sell the New York Partnership Long-Term Care policies.

B. Benjamin Yanklowitz, CLU, ChFC
Ben Yanklowitz was Michael's mentor for years here in Clifton Park, before passing away in April of 2008. Ben was known for his unwavering concern for those he helped. Many of the people Ben worked with had been with him for 30 years or more. Ben shared Michael's concerns that many investments seemed to be nothing more than an "Emperor Without Clothes" and always emphasized the importance of insurance, of having an emergency fund and of diversification.
Through the inflation of the seventies, the crash of '87, and the tech bust of 2000 and 2001, Ben was there for his clients. Ben obtained his Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. He also had a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Ben's genuine concern for his clients' well being, his attention to detail, his conservative investment style and his no-nonsense, no-frills business style are all qualities that his clients valued over the years. Ben was an avid supporter of planning, saving, and enjoying the simple things in life. He loved his family, his friends and his clients. His perspective, kindness and sense of humor is missed each day by Michael and others who worked with Ben.
In April of 2007, Ben handed over the reigns to his investment business to Michael Seeley, in the hope of enjoying a semi-retirement from his business. Ben lived in Niskayuna with Diana, his wife of 30 years. He has two daughters, each of whom now have their own families and live locally. He was always proud of them and of their children and he was always active in the local Jewish community.
Ben's memory is indeed a blessing and Michael hopes that Ben's memory will be a blessing to others as well, through donations of time and money to causes which Ben would be proud to help and by conducting business in a way which maintains the high ethical standards that Ben had, as well as using technology to reduce the environmental footprint that our business has. With this in mind, Michael has purchased solar panels for his home, an electric lawnmower, a Honda Insight hybrid vehicle and Elysium Associates, LLC has undergone an extensive scanning project which will allow quicker access to and better protection of client information, while allowing us to recycle about 50 lateral file drawers of files! Please contact Michael if you would like to be a part of future projects.
